Sand and Sun...In the Beggining

Here is a little intro to Sand and Sun. The story begins their freshmen year in high school. Sand is a bright, athletic, typical American boy who could probably be one of the most popular kids in the whole freshman class if he chose to be. Sun is a bright, on top of things girl with European concern for looks and style as well as grades, however she maintains a slight accent in her English despite having lived in the country for a number of years. As I discovered how smart Sun was I encouraged her to move to my honors class which she finally agreed to do well into the school year.

When Sun joined my honors class she sat in the front of the room, Sand sat in the back, but this didn’t stop him from picking on the new girl, he had no problems making comments across the room…

Imagine little comments like “Sun, come sit back here, I will help you with your work” or “Sun, will you be my partner?” These comments were always responded to with “No Sand! Stop talking to me” or “No Sand, Leave me alone!” or my favorite…the eye rolls.
